REPUBLIC — The Neosho Lady Wildcats opened Central Ozark Conference play Tuesday with a 9-0 loss to the Republic Lady Tigers.

In singles action, No. 1 Emily Mitchell lost 8-0 to Kaitlyn Snyder, No. 2 Sarah Werner lost 8-3 to Jordyn Gianopulos, No. 3 Julie Phillips lost 8-3 to Carly McAtee, No. 4 Michelle Lindsay lost 8-2 to Katie Stiles, No. 5 Morgan Brattin lost 8-1 to Hannah Morgan, and No. 6 Rylee Marion lost 8-1 to Isabella Freeman.

In doubles, No. 1 Mitchell-Werner lost 8-3 to Snyder-Gianopulos, No. 2 Phillips-Lindsey lost 8-0 to McAtee-Morgan, and No. 3 Brattain-Marion lost 8-1 to Destini Brooks-Heather Gari.

Neosho dropped to 0-2 overall and 0-1 COC heading into another road dual Thursday against conference foe Willard.

In JV matches Tuesday, Khali Johnson and Emily Galbraith lost both doubles matches they played in and both players lost their individual single matches.

On Monday, Johnson went 1-2 in singles matches (Neosho’s first win of the season) and Galbraith lost her lone singles match.
