The Crowder Dirtbags picked up two more wins — making it a five-game winning streak — with a pair of victories over two Kansas American Legion teams at Pittsburg’s JayCee Park this past weekend.
The Crowder Dirtbags rallied in extra innings and moved over the .500 mark on the season Sunday night with a 12-7 win over the Rogers American Legion team.
Crowder Dirtbags’ coach Cary Marion sat on the bench and could only shake his head in disbelief after his team lost game one, 10-6, of a doubleheader to Pittsburg American Legion Post 64 Wednesday at Roughrider Field. Fortunately, the Dirtbags were able to make good for a split in the doubleheader by rebounding to win the nightcap 11-3.
