Prior to the start of Crowder's game Sunday night, two teams saw their seasons come to an end – and those were two of the top ranked teams in the tournament.

In the opening game Sunday morning, No. 3 ranked State College of Florida was eliminated after losing to Chattanooga State, 10-9.

In game two, No. 4 ranked Pitt Community College from North Carolina fell 11-8 to Temple College.

The Tigers (38-15) went up 10-0 in this game by the top of the fourth inning and then held on for dear life as the Manatees rallied.

The rally fizzled in the ninth as closer Brad Elrod came in and shut down State College of Florida (37-15) to secure the save.

Isaac Davenport led Chattanooga at the plate by going 3-for-4 with four RBI. Adam Whitlock had a pair of hits and two RBI. Austin Chubbs was 2-for-4 with four RBI for the Manatees.

Tyler Bustrom earned the win for Chattanooga, despite not having an impressive line. He threw 6 2/3 innings, gave up 13 hits, six runs, all earned, and struck out two.

Josh Lucas, a Blue Jays draft pick last year, was tagged with the loss. He tossed 2 2/3 innings, giving up 12 hits and eight runs, all earned.

Temple College 11, Pitt Community College 8

The No. 4 ranked Bulldogs raced ahead 7-2 over the Leopards by the fifth inning, but that was about it when it came to highlights.

Temple, the lowest ranked team in the tournament at No. 20, rallied by scoring five runs in the sixth inning and then four more in the seventh inning to take a 11-7 lead.

Colten Boothe hit a three-run homer and Korey Wacker hit a two-run double to help the Leopards (38-24) tie the game at 7-7 in the sixth inning. In the seventh inning, an RBI double, an RBI fielder's choice, a wild pitch and a sacrifice fly allowed Temple to race ahead for good.

Wacker and Boothe both had three RBI for Temple. Brandon Parrent tossed 4 2/3 innings in relief to earn the win, striking out four, giving up six hits and allowing only one run.

Nick Abarhamson led Pitt (41-13) with three hits. Tanner Novick and Donovan Watts both drove in a pair of runs for the Bulldogs.
