Missouri Southern senior Jacob Taylor and junior Joe Lincoln have been named to the first and second teams, respectively of the American Baseball Coaches Association All-South Central Region team.

The region includes schools from the MIAA, Lonestar and Heartland Conferences. Both Taylor and Lincoln were named to the first and second-team All-MIAA squads with Taylor picking up a second-team All-South Central Region nod as voted on by the SID's last week.

Taylor pounded 15 homers on the season, just one shy of tying the all-time single-season record. He was second on the team in hitting with a .426 average and also had 51 RBIs to go with his 15 long balls.

He led the team with six triples and was tied for the team-lead with 16 doubles on the season. He leads the MIAA in triples, slugging and total bases, while ranking second in homers, third in hits, walks, runs and on base percentage. He also ranks fifth in average, sixth in doubles and 10th in RBIs.

Lincoln was one of the best hitters in the MIAA this season. He led the Lions with a .434 batting average and has been even better in MIAA play where the junior is hitting .469. He led the Lions with 53 RBIs and was third with 11 home runs. He is tied with Taylor in ranking second in the MIAA in hits and ranks third in the league in batting average. He is seventh in the league in RBIs and eighth in home runs.

The two helped the Lions to a 28-26 record this season and a third place finish in the MIAA Tournament.
