The Lady Wildcats of Diamond are off to a 3-1 start.
Fresh off of their third-place finish at the Thomas Jefferson Tournament, the Lady Wildcats beat Wheaton, 51-32.
“We did a good job of pushing the ball in transition in the first half,” Diamond coach Brian Brimacombe said. “I also felt that we did a good job pushing the ball inside. Our two post players had 33 of our 51 points.”
Cady Littlefield, starting in place of the injured Stefani Thomas, led the way for Diamond with 18 points. Megan Wilson added 15 for the Lady Wildcats.
Other scorers were: Mychael Strausbaugh 7, Shayla Jones 6 and Heather Wilson 5.
On Friday, the Diamond Lady Wildcats will be at home against Lamar.
