The Diamond Lady Wildcats used a strong second half to get back over .500 Friday night.
Mychael Strausbaugh scored 12 points for Diamond and the Lady Wildcats edged out College Heights, 45-41 in Spring River Valley Conference action.
“We came out strong in the third quarter,” Diamond coach Brian Brimacombe said. “We kind of sleep walked through the first half and for whatever reason we came on in the second half and took care of business.”
At halftime, the Lady Cougars led Diamond 21-18.
Other scorers for Diamond were: Cady Littlefield 9, Heather Wilson 9, Megan Wilson 8, Shayla Jones 4 and Asia Mahan 3.
Diamond, now 4-3 on the year, will travel to Neosho Monday for a 6 p.m. contest.
