Lindey Broyles dominated the Lamar Lady Tigers and led her Lady Patriots to a convincing, 58-40 win in Big 8 Conference play Thursday night.
Broyles finished with a double-double with 15 points and 17 rebounds for East Newton.
“We came out ready to play tonight and had a very good first quarter,” East Newton coach Marty Rinehart said. “We played with a lot of intensity throughout the game, but not as disciplined at times and that got us in a bit of trouble in the second half.”
Whitney Thomlinson was the only other East Newton player in double figures with 10 points.
Other scorers for the Lady Pats were: Kourtney Brewster 9, Kenzie Riegle 7, Hailey Heilig 5, Emily Brummett 5, Shelby Thomlinson 4, Sarah Harper 2 and Aubrey McDermott 1.
East Newton will travel to Neosho Monday.
