The McDonald County Lady Mustangs got back on the winning track Monday with a 46-40 road victory over Cassville.
And they did it without their leading scorer.
“I thought we played well despite losing Kenzie (Dill),” McClain said. “I am proud of the way we bounced back from the Republic loss.”
Preslea Reece continued her stellar freshman campaign with a team-high 16 points in the win. Taylor Pearcy and Callie Jo Shaver also scored in double figures with 11 and 10 points, respectively.
Ashton Pratt scored seven points and Darian Stancell had two.
McDonald County (4-7) will play at Nevada Friday.
