The Seneca Indians are showing that they are going to be a dangerous team to contend with in the Big 8 and in Class 3-District 12.

Seneca had its fifth different leading scorer of the season Thursday night in a road win over the Galena (Kan.) Bulldogs. The Indians topped Galena, 54-46.

Payton Rawlins came off the bench and scored 15 points to lead the Indians (7-2).

“It was a good team effort tonight,” Seneca coach Will King said. “We’ve got a lot of guys scoring for us and that’s helped us out a lot.”

Seneca trailed after one quarter, but put the clamps down defensively in the second frame to take a halftime lead.

After that, they never trailed again.

Other scorers were: Kyler Ng 9, Elias Roelfsema 7, Dalton Lindsey 6, Logan St. Clair 5, Bradley Jumper 5, Daniel Noah 4 and Zack Kelly 3.

Seneca will host Diamond tonight.
