The Neosho wrestling team closed out its duals season in style on Thursday night. The Wildcats got seven pins in 13 matches and smoked Rolla, 71-0 in their last action before the COC tournament.

“It was a great dual finish for our seniors capturing their second shutout of the season,” Neosho coach Jeremy Phillips said. “What was most impressive is the level that we wrestled at tonight. It was evident that we are growing and making positive strides.”

Results for the dual were as follows:

Austin Lewis pinned Grach

Dakota McGarrah pinned Olivar

River Buttram pinned Wilson

Nate Rodriguez defeated Watson by 18-1 technical fall

Paxon Fowler defeated Prosser by 11-3 decision

Sam Williams pinned Brookshire

Jared Brock defeated Steiner by 17-2 technical fall

Ethan Pogue defeated Edwards by 9-4 decision

James Townsend pinned Nash

Brandon White pinned Harmount

Jacob Brock defeated Abston by 8-2 decision

Christian Lopez defeated Ceia by 3-1 decision

Aaron Clardy pinned Spurgan

“It is always exciting to see the things we have been working on applied and pay off for us,” Phillips said. “This should provide us with some good momentum going into our conference tournament on Saturday.”

The Wildcats will travel to Willard on Saturday for the Central Ozark Conference championships.
In junior varsity action, Neosho finished 7-6. Results were as follows:
