The Neosho volleyball team dropped a Central Ozark Conference match Thursday versus state-ranked Republic.

The Lady Tigers, playing on senior night, defeated Neosho 25-17 and 25-18.

Republic is ranked No. 5 in Class 3 in the latest Missouri Volleyball Coaches Association’s week six poll this week.

Neosho fell to 5-18-2 and 0-6 in the COC, while Republic improved to 15-6-2.

Kayln Vlasin had two kills, one dig and two blocks for Neosho. Tori Eads and Scotti Holweger had six assists.

Michelle Forbes, Vlasin and Eads had four service points each.

“We didn’t put it together,” Neosho coach Amber Gallemore said. “We didn’t pass well. We couldn’t get it rolling. We were never able to get momentum.”

Republic also won the JV game, 25-16 and 25-13.

Rheed Rook had five kills. Tiffany Duncan had 11 assists. Matty Liedtke had three digs. Sydnie Lowe had three service points.

The JV team plays at the Kickapoo Tournament Saturday.

The varsity plays at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Ozark, the No. 4 ranked team in the Class 4 polls.
