Springfield Glendale product Justin Rogers had a career day for the Crowder College soccer team Saturday.
Rogers tallied four goals and led the Roughriders to a 4-3 win in overtime over visiting Cowley County Community College at Lions Field.
Rogers scored his first goal at the 15-minute mark. The Tigers (4-6) came back to take a 2-1 lead at halftime.
Rogers tallied a pair of goals late in the second half that gave the Roughriders (3-7-3) the lead. He scored with 15 minutes left and then with seven minutes remaining in the game. His last goal was the first ever hat trick in Crowder’s history.
Cowley County tied the game at 3-3 with a goal with five minutes left in the contest.
Rogers scored his fourth goal two minutes into overtime on a pass from Vinnie Machado. Other assists in the game came from Emilio Trujillo and Rafael Broges.
The Roughriders return to action at 1 p.m. today, playing against Kansas City, Kan., Community College.
