The Neosho 4th grade Next Level team competed in the Pinegar Chevrolet Invitational in Republic recently and won first place. The fourth grade boys played three games and went undefeated for the tournament.
In the first game of the tournament, Next Level defeated the Lebanon Yellow Jackets 27-20. Neosho won its second game against the Flames 24-16, before winning the final game of the tournament against Joplin Fastbreak 17-8—holding them scoreless in the second half.
Quincy Willis was named to the all-tournament team, and A. J. Van Lear received the tournament MVP plaque.
Cumulative individual stats for the Republic tournament are as follows: Sam Cook—7 rebounds and 1 steal; Brady Franklin—11 rebounds, 9 steals, and 3 points; Mason Gammons—4 rebounds; Gage Kelley—18 rebounds, 6 steals, and 3 points; Isiah Santiago—8 rebounds, 10 steals, and 13 points; A. J. Van Lear—11 rebounds, 12 steals, and 44 points; and Quincy Willis—10 rebounds, 9 steals, and 5 points.
