Football Wildcats earn No. 7 ranking

The Neosho football Wildcats will open the 2009 season on Friday against the Seneca Indians as the preseason No. 7 team in Class 4, according to the Associated Press poll released Wednesday.

The Indians enter Friday’s game as the preseason No. 10 ranked team in Class 3.

The 2009 preseason state rankings for Missouri high school football voted on by a 12-person panel of sportswriters and broadcasters.

First-place votes in parenthesis, followed by last year’s won-loss record, points received and last year’s final ranking.
