The Crowder soccer Roughriders now know their opponent for Friday’s Region XVI semifinal game.

The Roughriders, fresh off a 2-0 victory over Maple Woods in the quarterfinal round Saturday at Roughrider Field, will face St. Charles Community College at 2 p.m. Friday on the campus of St. Louis Community College-Florissant Valley.

The other semifinal game, to be played at 11 a.m. Friday, will feature Jefferson College against Blue River Community College of the Kansas City area system.

The Roughriders and St. Charles Community College met once this season, with Crowder picking up a 3-1 victory on Oct. 3.

St. Charles advanced in the regional tournament with a 1-0 victory over St. Louis Community College-Forest Park in the quarterfinal round Saturday.

The Cougars are led by Jared Ray’s six goals and eight assists for 20 points. Robert Bajier can also put the ball in the net with four goals and three assists.

Bryce Collier ranks as Crowder’s leading scorer with 11 goals and five assists for 27 points. Tarcisio Yamamoto has six goals and three assists, and Giafranco Panto has six goals and two assists for the Roughriders.
