The Neosho Storm won their fourth tournament of the season in Girard this past weekend.
The Storm played four games and went undefeated in the New Year’s tournament. The team of 6th grade girls played the Parsons Lady Swoops, Outcast (an SEK all-star team), Labette County Extreme, and Chanute Swish.
In the first game, the Storm easily defeated Parsons 33-3. The second game was against Outcast, and the Storm came out on top 32-24. LC Extreme was a close game, but the Storm managed to win 29-25. The final game of the tournament was a Storm victory over Chanute 34-7.
Allison Burr scored double figures in all four games of the tournament. She had a total of 60 points for the weekend. Others who scored were Makayla Hayes with 21 points, Cami Roy with 14, Emilee Anderson with 10, Jessica Van Lear with 9, Amadiyah Hames wih 8, and Ashley Talley with 6.
Burr and Van Lear tied with 15 steals for the weekend. Others with steals include Roy—14, Anderson—10, Hayes—7, Talley—6, and Hames—2.
Anderson led the Storm in rebounds for the weekend with a total of 22. Other rebound totals are as follows: Hayes—18, Hames—13, Talley—12, Burr—10, Van Lear—9, Roy—4, and Gabee Rainwater—3.
