The Kansas City Royals are introducing a 9-game season ticket package just in time for the holiday season. The 9-game package – which starts at just $99 – allows fans the flexibility to select games that best fit their schedules and save money over purchasing single-game tickets.
Beginning Monday, Nov. 24, fans purchasing a 9-game season ticket plan may select any nine regular season games excluding Opening Day, but including contests with the New York Yankees (April 11-12), St. Louis Cardinals (June 19-21) and Boston Red Sox (Sept. 21-24). Home games featuring special events and premium promotions are also available. For a limited time, fans that secure a 9-game plan will also have the opportunity to buy tickets for the April 10 home opener against the Yankees – the Grand Re-Opening of Kauffman Stadium. Fans may select the nine games at the time of purchase or, if buying as a gift, may choose to have the recipient select the games following the holiday season.
“With the current economic condition, consumers are focused foremost on value,” said Mark Tilson, Royals Vice President-Sales & Marketing. “This ticket plan is a great, affordable way for our fans to select the games that work best with their busy schedules. As we celebrate the 40th anniversary of Royals baseball and a renovated Kauffman Stadium in 2009, we hope this option provides all types of fans the chance to enjoy the upcoming season.”
Fans may purchase a 9-game ticket plan as well as any 2009 Royals Season Ticket package including full-season, 41- and 21-game plans by calling (816) 504-4040 or online at royals.com.
