The Neosho seventh grade boys’ basketball team dropped a pair of contests to Republic Tuesday night at Neosho Middle School.
In the A game, Republic got a buzzer-beating jump shot to fall to escape with a 29-27 win. Ethan Siler led Neosho in the loss with eight points and six rebounds. Colton Marion and Coleman Scott each had six points in the loss.
In the B game, Repbulic never trailed in a 34-19 win. Darren Hawkins was a terror on the boards, yanking down 15 rebounds to go along with a team-high eight points. Cameron Gorham and Connor Johnson scored five points each for Neosho.
