Kansas City, Mo. -

Wednesday night, Crowder secured the No. 1 spot in the upcoming regional tournament with a two-game sweep over rival Metropolitan Community College at Maple Woods in Kansas City.

Crowder won 9-5 and 8-2 over the Monarchs.

The victories give the Roughriders the No. 1 seed at the tournament held at Mineral Area Junior College in Park Hills, Mo., next week. Crowder faces No. 8 seed North Central Missouri College at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 7.
