The Neosho Middle School track team took part in a meet in McDonald County on Tuesday.
Behind four first place finishes, the eighth grade girls took the meet title home. First place finishers for the eighth grade girls were Tiffany Giliford in the 75 meter hurdles, the 100 meter dash, and the triple jump. The 400 meter relay team also took first place. That relay team features Emily Harrell, MaKenzie Rhodes, Deborah Robinson, and Tearra Mims. Second place finishers for the Neosho eighth grade girls were Giliford in the 200 meter dash, Harrell in the triple jump, Chelsea Henry in the pole vault, and Chelsy Laster in the discus throw. Olivia Houk took third place in the 800 meter run.
The eighth grade boys team did not medal in the 13 team meet. Garrison Baker took third place in the 400 meter and 800 meter runs. The 1600 meter relay team consisting of Justin Vandergriff, Phillip Markovich, Nathan Moser, and Baker took third place as well.
In the seventh grade division, the boys team won their division. They were helped by four first place finishes.
Ryan Greenstreet took first in the 100 meter hurdles. Darrian Guilory won both the long jump and triple jump at the meet and the 400 meter relay team took home gold. That relay team consists of Brendan Coyle, Tanner Mitchell, Alec Faso and Guillory.
Second place finishers for the seventh grade boys were Chance Burr in the 1600 meter run, Blake Peoples in the pole vault, Guillory in the high jump and the 800 meter and 1600 meter relay teams.
The 800 meter relay team features Coyle, Zach Grant, Greenstreet, and Faso. Mitchell, Kaden Roy, Dylan Lett, and Sean Drewry make up the 1600 meter relay team.
Third place medalists for the team were Burr in the 800 meter run, Drewry in the 1600 meter run, Mitchell in the high jump, and Lett in the pole vault.
The seventh grade girls finished fifth in their division.
Tearston Trindle took second in the 100 meter dash, Olivia Cupp took silver in the pole vault and Mady Reibolt was second in the triple jump.
The only other medalist for the seventh grade girls was Brooke Stauffer who placed third in the triple jump.
