The monthly meeting of the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission is scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 2, 10 a.m., at the Missouri Department of Transportation Southwest District Office, 3901 E 32nd, Joplin.

The City of Joplin is presenting to the Commission at 10:15 a.m. The Joplin presentation is scheduled to last until 10:30. 

Following the Joplin presentation, Mark Nelson, Monett, and Cherry Warren, Barry County Presiding Commissioner, are slated to present from 10:30-10:45 on local transportation/community partnerships.

The Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission is a six-member bipartisan board that governs the Missouri Department of Transportation. Commission members are appointed for a six-year term by the governor and are confirmed by the Missouri Senate.
