The Neosho Storm competed in four games in the Chelsea, Okla., tournament last weekend. 


The Neosho Storm competed in four games in the Chelsea, Okla., tournament last weekend.  

The Storm went undefeated in the two-day tournament and took first place.

In the first game of the tournament, the Storm won over Hilldale 23-10.  

Neosho then played Owasso and Chelsea teams, winning both games 31-6 and 37-4, respectively.  
In their championship game, the girls met Hilldale once again and easily defeated them 19-7.

With the four wins in Oklahoma, the 5th grade girls team improved their record to 31-7 for the year, with five of those losses going to 6th grade teams.  

The first place finish at the Chelsea tournament marks the fourth tournament championship for the season.     
Allison Burr led the Storm in two areas with 35 points and 17 steals for the entire tournament.  

KarLee Rasmussen had the team high for rebounds with 20 for the tournament.  

Cami Roy and Jessica Van Lear tied for most assists at 7.  

Van Lear also had the most blocks for the weekend with 4.

Other statistic totals for the tournament include 22 points, 11 steals, 1 assist, and 2 blocks for Rasmussen; 20 points, 6 rebounds, 12 steals, and 2 blocks for Roy; 15 rebounds, 4 assists, and 3 blocks for Burr; 13 points, 3 rebounds, and 13 steals for Van Lear; 9 points, 10 rebounds, 5 steals, and 2 blocks for Kali Godfrey; 8 points, 14 rebounds, 5 steals, and 1 assist for Makayla Hayes; 2 points, 15 rebounds, 5 steals, and 2 blocks for Emilee Anderson; and 3 rebounds for Gabee Rainwater.
