Clarice ‘June’ Prince Guditus, 96, Neosho, died Dec. 7, 2012, at her home following a short illness.  

June was born on Dec. 9, 1915, in Delphos, Iowa, the daughter of Floyd and Myrtle Patterson.  She resided in Iowa until the age of 17, moving to Colorado in 1932 and married Brady Galyen in 1933. To this union, two children were born, Rose Marie and Larry.

She moved to Oregon during World War II and worked at an airplane factory, leaving Oregon to California to assist her father with the care of her mother until her death. Following the death of her mother, she moved from California to Ohio, where she obtained her cosmetology training and license, returning to California and owning and operating a beauty shop there. She moved to Joplin for a short time, returning to California to be near her sisters.  

June met and married Joe Guditus in 1998 and he preceded her in death in 2005.  

Following the death of Joe, June relocated to Neosho to be with her daughter Rose and husband, Mark, and June had a lovely home built for the three of them south of Neosho. June professed her faith as a Methodist in an Easter service in 2012 at the Neosho United Methodist Church.  She was an exceptional woman, living 95 years in good health. She demonstrated kindness in her life and was admired and loved by all who knew her.  

June is survived by her two children, son, Larry Galyen, Delta, Colo., daughter, Rose Marie and husband, Mark McClintock, Neosho; four grandchildren, Tim Etzler and wife, Mary, Swedesboro, N.J., Sheryl Block, Neosho, John Etzler and wife, Lisa, Wheaton, and June Adams and husband, Bill, Longview; seven great-grandchildren, Gwen Shockley, Dustin Etzler, Amanda Block, Chelsea Calvert, Samantha Etzler, Rachel Calvert, Britiny Calvert; one great- grandson, Brent Shockley; five step-grandchildren, Philip McClintock, Amanda McClintock-Sullivan, Chris, Jimmy and Julie; one sister, Mary Longberg,  Willits, Calif.; two brothers, Billy Patterson and wife, Margo, Ukiah, Calif., and Elton Patterson and wife, Leona, Grand Junction, Colo.  

She was preceded in death by a sister, Betty; and three brothers, Jack, Nelson and Johnnie.  

The body has been taken for cremation and no services are planned.

Services are under the direction of Clark Funeral Home, Neosho.
