WESTVIEW — A local school district will host their annual senior citizens banquet on Thursday.

“This will be our 14th year for the Senior Citizen Banquet,” said Michelle Foulk, chairperson of the senior citizens banquet.  It will be held at 5 p.m. March 5 at our Westview School.”

Foulk said the main purpose of the banquet is to “say thank you to all our senior citizens in the area for supporting the school.”

The banquet is open to anyone 55 or older who live in the Westview School District.

There will be a dinner and entertainment during the banquet.

“Each person will be served dinner by the Student Council Members of Westview School,” she said. “Dinner will be prepared by OPAA! All those attending will receive a gift from Jarden Consumer Solutions and there will be performances by members of our student choir. Our choir will be singing two song selections.”

Foulk said they would like to have those who are planning on coming to RSVP, call the school at 776-2425.

“This is a great honor for our school to say thank you to the community,” she said. “Several of our guests have grandchildren currently attending the school. Also, there are many of our guests who are past alumni of Westview. We are so pleased to be able to meet and talk with the members of our community. The students enjoy hearing stories from the guests especially those that involve past stories of Westview.”
