Three men were in custody at the Newton County Jail in Neosho after a search warrant turned up drugs at a home.
According to Newton County Sheriff Ken Copeland, deputies served a search warrant at about 3 p.m. Monday at 19533 Iris Road in Neosho.
“(We received) information that a drug unit had been developing over the last few days (at the residence),” Copeland said. “With that information, they were able to get a search warrant and did, in fact, prove to be so.”
Upon arrival, deputies discovered 23½ grams of methamphetamines, $2,800 next to the drugs and what Copeland said was “a bunch of baggies and scales.”
Arrested and charged were Kenneth Dale Mishler, 59, for possession and distribution of meth; Richard Allen Fouts, 56, of Monett for possession of meth; and Travis James Lair, 35, of Diamond for possession of meth.
“We also recovered a stolen four-wheeler while we were there and three bags of meth out of another vehicle that was there,” the sheriff said.
