A ruler once asked Jesus, “What shall I do to inherit eternal life?” This is a question many ask. Who can be saved? Whoever will repent of their sins and accept Christ as Lord and Savior into their lives. This is about total surrender, not a now and again relationship.

Hearing the voice of God is largely a matter of one’s will. You must choose to listen. When we listen to God’s voice, He will turn to listen to yours. Jesus said in John 1-:27, “My sheep hear My voice, and I know them and they follow Me.” If you are truly interested in what God is saying, you’ll listen.
A wise person will be the one who sits with the word of God before them pounding its words before the cross looking unto Jesus for the answers in life. One must draw near to Jesus. There is no such thing as those who attend church and believe they are just common law Christians by their association. A true life with Christ is always shown in one’s condition of their heart. The key to living a satisfying life with Christ is found in hearing and then obeying His word, His ways and with a humble spirit.
The Bible tells us about who a wise man is and who a foolish man is in Matthew. One built his house on the rock, the other on sand. When the storms came, only the one on the rock survived.
No one is exempt from the storms of life. The question is found in how you handle these storms. The trials of life always are a great indicator of where one’s walk is with God. Reliance on other people can only get you so far. But obedience to God can keep you and lead you to where you need to be.
