PINEVILLE — Missouri Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR), an agency of the Department of Defense, announced last week that Jeremy Guzman, computer lab manager at Walmart North Star Complex, was honored with a Patriot Award in recognition of extraordinary support of its employees and family members of those who serve in the National Guard and Reserve.

PINEVILLE — Missouri Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR), an agency of the Department of Defense, announced last week that Jeremy Guzman, computer lab manager at Walmart North Star Complex, was honored with a Patriot Award in recognition of extraordinary support of its employees and family members of those who serve in the National Guard and Reserve.
At 7 a.m. last Thursday, the Patriot Award ceremony was conducted during the startup meeting at the company office at the Walmart North Star Complex, 27 Bear Hollow Road.  Lt. Col. Judith Mathewson, ESGR representative, officiated the ceremony, made some opening remarks and thanked the employer for its support. Maj. Jim Garvey made the official presentation.
Senior Airman James C. Brown nominated Guzman for being highly supportive of military Reserve Component members and their families. Brown is computer lab technician with the firm and is assigned to the 188th Wing of the Air National Guard in Fort Smith, Ark.
Guzman was recognized for support, respect and encouragement he demonstrates to his employees and especially those in the military. Brown reported that because of the encouragement and support he receives from his employer, he is able to sustain a civilian and a military career.
