All money raised will be used to support the library. Funds will purchase new books and furniture, help pay for special events for children, and provide support for the upcoming 2016 summer reading program. In 2015, almost $500 was raised to support the library.
This is a community event as library staff and volunteers work hard to sort, organize and promote the sale, according to library Director Jeana Gockley.
“This sale would not be possible without the hard work of library staff and the support of the whole community,” Gockley said. “Not only does staff work extra hard to make the sale a success, we have some wonderful volunteers who help set up and run the sale, plus they collect and solicit donations.”
