A Stella teen was airlifted to Freeman West Hospital in Joplin with serious injuries after the truck he was driving early Sunday left a Newton County highway.
Justin L. Robinson, 18, was traveling westbound on Highway D at Boulder City at 6:30 a.m. when his 1996 Chevrolet S10 pickup ran off the left side of the roadway and overturned, ejecting Robinson from the wreckage, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Tammy K. Shelton, 56, of Wentworth was airlifted to Mercy Hospital in Joplin with moderate injuries after a one-vehicle accident on a Lawrence County highway Friday night. Shelton was traveling southbound on Missouri Highway 97 at 9 p.m. when the patrol reported her 2012 Hyundai Santa Fe ran off the roadway and struck a road sign and a bridge rail five miles north of Pierce City.
Bobby L. Rodgers, 21, was arrested on a felony warrant from Washington County, Ark., at 9:48 a.m. Monday for distribution of marijuana and also was charged with misdemeanor possession of marijuana. Rodgers was held without bond in McDonald County Jail.
Benito Ignacio-Gonzalez, 34, of Anderson was charged at 12:27 a.m. Sunday with misdemeanor driving while intoxicated, failure to drive on the right half of the roadway, no driver’s license and no insurance. He was released to a sober driver.
