Neosho police handled several out-of-the-ordinary incidents Monday.
An officer was dispatched at 8:06 a.m. to the 600 block of Summit Street where Lt. Jason Baird said a resident reported the theft of a large, blue WCA trash container valued at $60.

An officer was dispatched at 8:06 a.m. to the 600 block of Summit Street where Lt. Jason Baird said a resident reported the theft of a large, blue WCA trash container valued at $60.
Police are investigating a case of fraud after being summoned at 2:20 p.m. to the 200 block of South Wood Street.
“They got a $2,000 inheritance check from a trust and it bounced,” Baird said. “It was written on a closed account.”
Officers responded to the 4300 block of Price Drive at 7:49 p.m. in regard to an assault.
Two drunken males had been fighting but Baird said neither would press charges. One of those men, 35, of Neosho, who was just arrested by police Friday, was then taken into custody and placed on a 12-hour safekeeping because of his intoxicated state when police responded at 8:59 p.m. to the skate park, 400 Dean Keeling Drive, according to Baird.
Police returned to the skate park at 12:38 a.m. Tuesday, as Baird said officers went to check on a large group of vehicles that were parked there.
Andrew Marion, 18 of Neosho, was found with a bottle of whiskey on him, and Baird said he was arrested and charged with minor in possession of alcohol.
