Starting Thursday, Neosho residents can take certain items to the transfer station
The cleanup is for this Thursday through Saturday, with hours of disposal from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. each day.
WCA would provide large roll offs at the Transfer Station (no other locations)
A city employee would check each person coming in to verify they are a Neosho citizen (water bill)
Citizens would dispose of their items into the proper roll off with city employee overseeing disposal
Roll offs would be situated so that normal operations of the transfer station were not interrupted
City would provide a front end loader (operated by city employee) to help with disposal of larger items
There would no cost to the City for this Clean Up.
Items we would not be able to accept would be tires, hazardous wastes (chemicals, oils, antifreeze, etc), batteries, appliances (Freon issues), and liquids. They could accept paint if it was properly solidified (mixed with cat litter and allowed to thoroughly dry).
For more information, call the city at 451-8050.
