A company who has been in Neosho since the 1940s was recognized on June 20 as the June Business/Employer of the Month.
Rembrandt Foods, 409 N. Wood St., Neosho, was presented with a couple of awards and proclamations during the event.
"We were established in 1948 and have been acquired a few times," said Angela James, human resource manager with Rembrandt Foods. "in 2009, Rembrandt purchased our company."
According to information from Rembrandt's website, "It started with a cornfield and a vision of a vertically-integrated egg products solution, managing the entire process from grain to finished product. This vision led Rembrandt Foods to become the leading egg ingredient producer in the United States, with global distribution. We supply egg ingredients to food manufacturers, foodservice, and pet care manufacturers. Our expertise touches virtually every food category, including mayonnaise, sauces, baked goods, confections, pasta, bars, nutritional beverages, and prepared foods."
James said there are 66 full time employees with USDA onsite, 24/7.
"We  operate with four shifts - 12 hour shifts. we are currently hiring," she added. "(Rembrandt) is the third largest producer of eggs in the US."
Along with the work, the company also has what is called Rembrandt Cares Program.
The Neosho Rembrandt Cares Program:
• Has raised $200 in coworker contributions for United Fund in 3 month span. The plant will match all contributions raised by December.
• Coworkers have volunteered over 560 hours in the community
