There is a new pizza place in town.
Domino's, 908 W. Harmony St., Neosho, officially opened Monday. Hours of operation are from 10:30 a.m. to midnight Sunday through Thursday and 10:30 a.m. to 1 a.m. Friday and Saturday. Phone number is 417-658-4750.
"I think that the city of Neosho is going to be blown away on how quick you get your pizza to your door or how quick it is for you to pick up," said Emily Elwell, Neosho Domino’s franchise owner. "I am very excited to be here. We are dedicated to the Neosho area and are excited about the opportunity to serve its residents."
The new Domino's features the new pizza theater store design which allows flexibility for a number of elements otherwise unheard of when it comes to the “traditional” Domino’s store. Highlights include a comfortable lobby, dine-in seating, carryout window, free Wi-Fi, open-area viewing of the food preparation process and the ability to track carryout orders electronically on a lobby screen. The store also features chalkboards to allow customers to express their creativity or to leave feedback for the store team members.
Elwell and her husband started with Domino's back in 2000. They eventually met in 2002 and were both assistant managers.
"We got married in 2008, have three kids, and after our first was born, we decided that we wanted to start doing this for ourselves," she said. "We saved up our money and July 2010, we purchased the store in Webb City from the previous owner which was our boss."
The couple have expanded since their first Domino's.
They own Webb City, Carthage, Nevada, Pittsburgh, Kan., the west Joplin store, Ft. Scott, Kan., Miami, Okla., and now in Neosho.
As to why they opted to come into Neosho, Elwell said, "we have been trying to come to neosho for years. we bought the carthage store in 2012 - that is where we first started hearing, 'when are you coming Neosho, when is it happening?' We really didn't start thinking about building our own until 2014. When we first started looking at Neosho, we could not find anything that was within our budget to make it work.... my contractor found this (location), the price was right and the rest is history."
Aside from pizza choices, they also have salads, eight different types of sandwiches, boneless and traditional wings, speciality chicken, three different types of cheesy bread.
“We have a deeply experienced team of folks who live and work in Neosho and they are eager to offer our delicious products, exceptional service, and innovative ordering technology to the community,” she said.
The Neosho business also offers a drive up window, delivery service and walk-ins.
