ArtCon 2019 drew a crowd to downtown Neosho and to the Neosho Civic. The event took place from 11 a.m. through 7 p.m. for a $5 admission.
Vendors, special guests, photo booths, artists and authors were all on hand for a day designed to please fans of a variety of genres ranging from Marvel and DC to Harry Potter and Anime.
Some of the noteworthy guests included Jeremy Haun, Megan Levens, Ande Parks, Dayton Ward, and Kevin Dilmore.
Space was provided for those who attended to enjoy playing D&D (Dungeons and Dragons) on the stage at the auditorium.
Several photo opportunities were available along with a wide variety of vendors. Concessions were available within the Civic and outside several food trucks were lined up offering more.
Many of those who participated in ArtCon enjoyed cosplay, which is the practice of dressing up as a character from a movie, book, or video game, especially one from the Japanese genres of manga and anime.

and Best Western Big Spring Lodge with support from Grow Neosho, Neosho Area Chamber of Commerce, City of Neosho and First Community Bank, the event was well-attended.
The Neosho Arts Council hopes to bring more events to the city including art, music, theatre, writing, opera, dance and other events.
