Praxair Incorporated announced this week that production capacity at the Neosho plant will double when the expansion project is complete.
The expansion comes in response to growing demand from customers in southwest Missouri and adjacent portions of Arkansas, Oklahoma and Kansas. The project is expected to be complete in 2020.
"This investment will strengthen supply reliability and help us meet the future demands of our liquid oxygen and nitrogen customers," Andy Sarantapoulos, South Region President of Praxair's U.S. industrial gas business., said. "We are proud to be part of the Neosho community and look forward to growing our presence in the region."
Praxair, located at 1601 Industrial Drive in Neosho, is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Linde PLC, a leading industrial gas company in North and South America and one of the largest worldwide.
Praxair sells and distributes atmospheric, process and specialty gases and high-performance surface coatings.
Among community members applauding the expansion is Mike Franks, CEO of Grow Neosho.

Praxair's customers in the region include the food, aerospace, electronics, refining, chemical and other industries.

Praxair has been a long time part of the Neosho Industrial Park with their facility located at 1601 Industrial Drive.
