Edward Joseph Harding Junior, aged 66, passed away October 20, 2018 in Rockaway Park, NY. Ed was born August 13, 1952 in Kansas City, MO, and moved to Neosho with his family in 1956 at the age of 4. The son of Lora Lee and Edward Joseph Harding (both deceased), longtime residents of Neosho, he was a graduate of Neosho High School’s class of 1970, and attained a Bachelor of Science degree from Missouri State University in Springfield, MO. For many years he was self-employed in the carpentry trade, however, his love was singing and acting, getting his start in high school and in performances at the City Park and Auditorium in Neosho, the Craig Theater at Southwest Missouri State University, and singing at the First Baptist Church of Neosho where he was a member. He later moved to New York City where he built stage sets for Broadway and also appeared in the movie “White Palace”, and in several Broadway musicals including “Oklahoma”, “The Unsinkable Molly Brown” and “Relative Madness”.

He will be missed by his siblings, Julie White of Springfield, MO, Francis Ellis, of Gig Harbor, WA, Linda Perez of St. Croix, US Virgin Islands, Gregory Harding, of Greenfield, Mo, and Mary Ross of Denver, CO, and nieces and nephews who benefited from his flea market shopping hobby.
