Gracie Bowman is closer to bringing her service dog, her "Life Saber" home but the family still needs help to make training the dog possible. In a earlier story in the NDN July 30 edition, Gracie's story and her need for a service dog was told.
Now, during the upcoming annual Jesse James Days celebration in Pineville, MO, there's a new way to help. Gracie's family is selling homemade dog treats, hand baked with love in three different flavors including pumpkin flaxseed.
In addition to the treats, they will also have dog toys, Lupine leashes and other dog supplies for sale, all to raise money to train Gracie's service dog.
At their booth during Jesse James Days, one of the service dog trainers will be on hand to answer questions. And, some canines in various ages and stages of training will also be there including German Shepherds, Goldendoodles and Labradoodles.
There will also be what the family is calling a home spun charity dinner during the event.
Those who can't make it to Jesse James Days this year can still help support the family by ordering dog treats directly from Gracie's mom. For more information about ordering the treats, email Danea Key at Danea.firstname.lastname@example.org.
Enjoy the fun, the food, and the chance to help a very worthy cause during Jesse James Days, Wednesday, August 14 through Saturday, August 17 on the square in Pineville, Missouri.
Pineville is about 22 miles south of Neosho via I-49.
