The Neosho Board of Education has approved a new program for Neosho students that will provide them with after school food. The Child and Adult Care Food Program is a federal program that will provide a free Grab and Go Meal to students who remain after school for activities, clubs, or tutoring.

Like the free breakfast program already in place, the meals will be provided to all students, regardless of income or food needs.

Once students receive the meals, the government will reimburse the district for the cost. The Child and Adult Care Food Program requires final approval from the government.

The details of the program are in the works and when the program goes into effect, it will be announced.
