For the third straight year, the Neosho Wildcat Soccer team won the Class 3, District 12 championship on Wednesday. Despite steady rain and a lighting delay, the Wildcats won over Webb City 1-0 in Carl Junction.

The district match was the third time this season that the Wildcats and the Cardinals played and also the third year in row that the 'Cats bested Webb City for the district championship.

Junior midfielder Diego Vargas scored the single goal during the game.

Neosho will advance to the Class 3 State Tournament first round on November 12. Their opponet will be Willard or Springfield Parkview.

The Wildcats now stand at 14-6 for the season.
