Harvey Benton Imbeau, 75, of Neosho passed away April 1, 2016.
He was born July 14, 1940 to Juel and Jean Imbeau.
Harvey grew up in Commerce, Okla., and graduated in 1958 from Commerce High School. He earned his bachelor’s degree at Oklahoma State University and a master’s degree at North Texas State.
Harvey taught music at Neosho High School, Johnson County Community College and explored occupations in construction, contracting and other artistic venues. He loved music, writing and painting, but his passion was for cars.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Mark Imbeau; and younger brother, Ralph Imbeau.
Harvey is survived by numerous cousins; many friends of Neosho, including Bobbi Cox, who helped him stay independent; daughter, Christi Lawson and her companion Paul Dennis; two granddaughters, Montana McVey and Laiken Lawson; and grandson, Kaleb McVey; all of Oklahoma City.
The body has been cremated. A celebration of his life will be announced at a later date.
