Kevin Ernest Latimer, 51, Lee’s Summit, Mo., passed away Jan. 9, 2017, at St. Luke’s Hospital of Kansas City.

Kevin Ernest Latimer, 51, Lee’s Summit, Mo., passed away Jan. 9, 2017, at St. Luke’s Hospital of Kansas City.
Visitation will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Jan. 16, 2017, at the Beautiful Savior Lutheran Church in Lee’s Summit, with the memorial service following at 11 a.m. at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Melanoma Research Foundation.
Kevin was born on Dec. 15, 1965, in Kansas City, Mo. He was an Eagle Scout at 16 years old and a Boy Scout leader for two years. Kevin was very proud of his accomplishments in Scouts.
He could find a friend anywhere and would go out of his way to help people in need.
Kevin loved sports and enjoyed watching his children’s sporting events and attending local sporting events.
He was active in his church and would often help out with painting needs.
Kevin was a painter for more than 30 years and owned his own company for five years.  
Kevin was a patient, kind, hardworking man who instilled those values in his children.
He was a beloved husband of 26 years and loving father to his children. Eight months ago, Kevin was blessed with a grandson, and took care of him until his illness.
Kevin was preceded in death by his parents, Doyce and Deanna Latimer; brother, Kenneth Latimer; and grandmother Lena VanHorne.
He is survived by his wife, Tricia Latimer; children, Nicole Williams, Mitchell Latimer and Rebecca Latimer; grandson, Jake Latimer; and nephew Skylar Cook.
