Les Blanset was born in Carthage, Missouri on August 27, 1954 to Carl Wayne and Estalyn (Lyn) Blanset. He passed on December 11, 2020. He is survived by his two sons Ryan Leslie Blanset and wife Colleen, Dustin Blanset, sister Guylyn Blanset DeMeyere and husband Wayne, and 4 grandchildren Connor, Madeline, Emma and Ashtyn. He grew up in Neosho, Missouri and worked on water towers and in the construction industry until he left the area. In1989 he and his young sons moved to St. James City, Florida on Pine island. He continued doing construction work and built custom sail boats. Les loved Pine Island because his favorite pastimes were fishing and boating. He became an accomplished sailor traveling to Cuba, the Bahamas and many other islands on sailboats with family and friends. His family meant everything to him and in his last years his son Dustin committed his time to living with his father and caring for him with great love and compassion.
