To begin, I would like to introduce myself. My name is Stuart Puckett, and I am running for the Neosho School District Board of Education.
I attended Neosho Schools, K-12, and graduated in 1987. From there, I attended and graduated from the University of Missouri in Columbia with a BS/BA in finance and one in economics. After college, work moved me to St. Louis, where I was employed at the Federal Reserve Bank.
In 1993, Suzanne and I moved back to Neosho. I have been employed with Arvest Bank for 18 years.
School boards have a number of responsibilities that I believe mirror, in many respects, my job responsibilities. Organizational operations, student (employee) achievement, finance, communications, policy decisions, laws/regulations and strategic planning are all areas I have dealt with on a daily basis for many years; therefore, I believe that I have the skills necessary to be an effective board member.
However, that is not the most important reasons to support me in the upcoming election. I need your vote because I will be a motivated board member.
Like many others in this community, I left once, but returned. I will work to instill that same sense of pride in today’s students that I left with. I will work diligently to assure them that “when” they want to come back, Neosho will welcome them.
Creating this atmosphere and opportunity is a collaborative effort. For the health of our community, nothing will be more important than creating the desire and at the same time creating the “opportunities” to make this a reality.
Thank you. I would appreciate your vote in the upcoming election.
