FRONTENAC, Kan. — There’s an old saying about how it’s better to win ugly than to lose pretty.
The Neosho Lady Wildcats put that old saying to the test Friday night with a 39-36 win over the Blue Springs Lady Wildcats in the consolation semifinals of the Kansas Army National Guard Invitational.
With the win Friday, Neosho improved to 12-4 and earned the opportunity to play the Nevada Lady Tigers for fifth place at 5 p.m. Saturday. The Lady Wildcats have already matched their win total from last season.
