ANDERSON — The McDonald County Lady Mustangs took a 4-2 loss to Aurora on Tuesday.
Aurora led 3-1 at halftime, with three goals coming over a 12-minute stretch of the first half after 21 scoreless minutes to start the match.
The Lady Mustangs earned their first goal in the 25th minute on a Karla Barreda unassisted goal.
Ava Smith’s unassisted goal in the 67th minute made it a 3-2 match, but Aurora closed out the scoring with a State Farm goal in the 71st minute.
McDonald County hits the road Thursday for a clash with Monett.
