REPUBLIC — The Neosho Lady Wildcats earned back-to-back Central Ozark Conference Large wins on back-to-back shutouts, taking a 2-0 win from the Republic Lady Tigers on Tuesday.
Ashley Talley and Laken Schnackenberg netted the goals for the Lady Wildcats and Alicia Cooper contributed assists on both goals.
Makayla Hayes continued to be spotless in goal, with the Lady Wildcats' third consecutive shutout after wins over Osage, Carl Junction and Republic.
During a 5-1 loss to Northwestern on Saturday, Neosho gave up that fifth goal with 3 minutes, 17 seconds remaining in regulation and so the Lady Wildcats have not surrendered a goal their last 243 minutes of play.
The Lady Wildcats outscored their last three opponents 16-0 to improve to 7-4 overall and 2-1 COC Large.
Neosho returns to action Monday at home against Ozark, a team receiving votes in the Missouri High School Soccer Coaches Association's Class 4 poll.
After that conference match, the Lady Wildcats continue their home matches with their home tournament Friday and Saturday, playing McDonald County on Friday and Joplin and Carthage on Saturday.
