Ozark scored the game’s only runs with two in the first and two in the fourth.
Neosho managed only three hits against Ozark standout Brooke Pridgen and Lily Sullivan, with two of the three coming against Sullivan. Pridgen pitched the first four and Sullivan finished up the last three. Pridgen struck out five and walked none. Sullivan both struck out and walked none.
Runners were rough all game for the Lady Wildcats, since Ozark did not issue any walks, did not hit any batters, and did not commit any errors.
Mikayla Long, Kaylee Johnson, and Cheyenne Bates had Neosho’s only hits, all singles.
Kyla Daspit took the loss for the Lady Wildcats, allowing four runs (all earned) on seven hits over six innings. She struck out just one and walked none.
The Lady Wildcats return to action today at home against Willard.
