The Neosho Lady Wildcats dropped to 1-14 overall and 0-4 Central Ozark Conference Large with a 2-0 loss Thursday night to the Carl Junction Lady Bulldogs.

Carl Junction improved to 12-4 overall and 3-1 COC Large.

Neosho fell in the varsity match 25-8, 25-3 and statistical leaders for the Lady Wildcats included Brylee King and Emma Hames each with two kills, Savannah Merriman with one ace, Ashley Sims with four digs and two assists, and Laken Schnackenberg with two assists.

Sylvia Lawson paced Carl Junction with 19 assists and three aces, while Lexi Miller had 11 kills, Salma Lewis four blocks, Grace Southern three aces, and Cara Sluder 11 digs.

Neosho and Carl Junction both return to action Saturday in the Carl Junction Tournament, with Neosho’s first match against Joplin and Carl Junction’s first against Eminence.

On the JV side Thursday, Neosho lost 2-0 by matching 25-3 scores.
