The Crowder Roughriders lost a heartbreaker Tuesday at Roughrider Soccer Field in Region 16 action against Jefferson.

Just 57 seconds into overtime, the 'Riders were called for a hand ball in the penalty box and then Jefferson's Jack Foster stepped up for the penalty kick and delivered the winning goal in a 1-0 decision.

Crowder's Daniel Ost had four saves in goal. Nedin Kudic made five saves for the Vikings of Jefferson.

Crowder played its first overtime match since September 2 against St. Charles. At that point, Crowder started its season with three straight overtime matches. The 'Riders fall to 1-2-1 in overtime matches.

Crowder, now 5-4-1 overall and 2-3 Region 16, returns to action Saturday on the road against MCC-Blue River.
