ANDERSON — The Webb City Lady Cardinals ran their record to 21-5-1 (yes, one tie) on the season with a 9-3 win Monday over the McDonald County Lady Mustangs.

McDonald County managed three runs all in the sixth, but otherwise in all Webb City in this one, as the Lady Cardinals scored two in the first, two in the third, one in the fourth, three in the sixth, and one more in the seventh.

McDonald County hurt itself with six errors.

Maddie Colvin led McDonald County with two hits, while Cloee Helm, Rita Santillan, Kylie Helm, and Chloe Colvin each had one of the Lady Mustangs’ other four hits. Santillan, Kylie Helm, and Chloe Colvin each brought in a run, while Santillan, Kylie Helm, and Maddie Colvin each scored a run. Santillan tripled and Maddie Colvin doubled.

Addie Darby and Haidyn Berry each had three hits for Webb City, with Berry driving home three runs and Ashley Alexander picked up a pair of RBI.

McDonald County, the defending Class 4, District 12 champion, has lost games this season against district opponents Webb City, Neosho, and Carthage, something that might impact their seeding.
